manifesto

Call it what you want.  Blog (cough cough). Journal. Travel Log.  Ego trip.  Whatever it is, it is Right Here that I want to put down my impressions of India.  And pictures, but not shoe selfies -- apparently you tread through puddles and piles of funky muck.

Also, Right Here will serve as proof of life for my dear mother and father.

I never thought I would write a blog.  Blog rhymes with bog which reminds me of my favorite Emily Dickinson poem.

I’m Nobody! Who are you?
Are you – Nobody – too?
Then there’s a pair of us!
Don’t tell! they’d advertise – you know!

How dreary – to be – Somebody!
How public – like a Frog –
To tell one’s name – the livelong June
To an admiring Bog!

Don't get me wrong.  I lurv a good blog.  Some of my best friends write blogs and they are no frogs.  I am not a frog either.  I am a Bird.  And I like to to take pictures and tell stories.   I am a Nobody.  Don't advertise.
